Bed 2, from south to north

In May 2023, we removed the mint from the northern end of Bed 2 as it was taking over - sending runners underneath the weed mat etc. We then replanted nearly the entire garden with a selection of bok choy, pak choy, baby spinach, rocket, silver beet and other leafy greens.

These are all labelled and will hopefully begin producing enough leaves for eating over the coming weeks.

In the meantime, there is one established spinach plant on the east/left-hand side of the garden which will provide a few leaves every now and again - if you’re lucky!

The Rosemary Wall

Please feel free to help yourself to some rosemary at any time - we have plenty of it! Just some of things you can do with rosemary are:

  • Toss some peeled potatoes in olive oil, salt and rosemary leaves then bake in the oven as a tasty accompaniment to your meal.

  • Rub your leg of lamb with olive oil and garlic, then spike it with rosemary pieces for added flavour.

  • Infuse your vinegar or oil with fresh rosemary for a ready-made marinade.

  • Make your own garlic and rosemary butter.

  • Distil your own rosemary essential oil.
